From the edge of the platform, the world waits quietly, with rails stretching like lines in a sketchbook.

I drew this line work of Cheltenham Spa train station while waiting for a train during my MA in animation. I noticed a pigeon strolling on the opposite platform and couldn’t help imagining it was also commuting, maybe on its way back from work! I wanted to capture the station’s everyday details, the waiting chairs, the bins, and the poster adverts. This piece was part of experimenting with animating a pigeon’s walk and practising how to bring a simple, familiar scene to life, just for fun and skill-building.
