Sunlight drifts through the quiet woodland, where every tree feels like a piece of a paper puzzle.

I created this colored woodland background in Procreate as part of an animation I’ve been developing, though the animation is still unfinished. I wanted to experiment with blocky, cut-paper-style shapes, giving the forest a stylised, graphic feel without relying on line work. There aren’t any animals or creatures in this scene; it’s just the trees, light, and shadow, but it was a fun way to explore composition, layering, and colour to give the forest depth and personality, all while stretching my background design skills.
